Shawntay and Justin | Rock Cut State Park | Maternity Photos

I met Shawntay and Justin at Rock Cut State Park for a winter maternity session this past weekend. Fortune was on our side... it was a warm winter day with a high of 27 and the clouds cleared and there was a blanket of fresh snow on the ground. Here are a few of my favorites from the day! Harshbarger Family | Snowy, Winter Woods Family Photos

Now, it's always hit or miss if we're going to have good snow before Christmas. However, this year, Jess was sure of wanting just that- snow photos! Well, this Thanksgiving, we lucked out with a layer of fresh snow and a 40 degree day shortly after. Perfect portrait opportunity! Take a look through these playful wintry photos in the woods.

Katie and Dan | Lincoln Park Engagement

I got to meet Katie and Dan in Chicago at Lincoln Park for their lovely autumn engagement photos. And yes, it was lovely. It was perfect fall weather - just brisk enough that a walk in the park and some cuddling made for a perfect afternoon. The clouds even parted and the sun came out warming us up as we made our way through this gorgeous downtown paradise. After wandering through the park, we made our way over to the lake shore so Katie and Dan could share in a romantic champagne toast while the sunset over the Chicago skyline. Things really don't get much more perfect than sharing a drink on Lake Michigan!

Congratulations to Katie and Dan and I'm looking forward to August 29th, 2015!
