Taylor Smith's Urban Senior Portraits | Downtown Rockford IL

Okay. So. Taylor Smith is friends with another Taylor, and I did that Taylor's photos and now I took these Taylor's photos, but I don't think I have any other Taylors lined up for the fall, so, if you know a Taylor, send 'em on over.

That being said, this is the quintessential downtown Rockford, IL shoot. And you know what? I liked every second of it. A lot. First off, Taylor and her parents are awesome, so it made work super easy and fun. Secondly, I really liked revisiting some of classic downtown Rockford spots... So we hit up the alley, fountains, Jefferson Street bridge, goth wall, vine covered wall with stairs... AND the newly added graffiti wall (way to go and shout out to Rockford Area Arts Council Artsplace.) I think the culmination of gorgeous summer weather, evening glowing sun, Taylor's effortless beauty and fun spirit really made this one shine.

Tonya and Jon's Engagement Session | Beckman Mill in Beloit Wisconsin

Tonya got a hold of me back in 2013 inquiring about her 2015 wedding, she's a planner! I was excited as soon as I met Tonya and Jon for coffee because I could tell the way they sat together and looked at each other that this was the real thing. We got together this last weekend for their engagement session and took full advantage of that sweet summer afternoon light. I met Tonya and Jon at Beckman Mill in Beloit, Wisconsin (which is located about 35 minutes north of Rockford, IL and 30 Minutes south of Janesville.) Here's a couple of favorites from the day! Kysa on Father's Day 2014

My niece Kysa serves a dual role in my life... first, to fill my heart up with joy. The second - to be my little model. We went out to the woods on Father's Day and it was that gorgeous, warm, golden light that every photographer takes glee in. Here's a few of my favorites from the evening!

Ava's Three Year Photos

I had fun seeing Ava and how much she's grown since last year! We went up to Roscoe, IL to enjoy some playing in the woods and soaked up that lovely summer sun. Here's a few of my favorites from the afternoon!
