Baby Corran's Newborn Session | Roscoe, IL & Honengah Forest Preserve

When I graduated from Rockford University... there was only one other BFA major alongside with me. Jennifer and I grew close during our years at college together and working side by side to make art and suffer through all those art critiques. She's a beautiful woman and I'm honored to be her friend and to have had the honor to take Corran's newborn photos. Here's a look back at just a few of my favorites.

Velasquez Newborn Session | Belvidere, IL

I was contacted way last year about coming to Belvidere for a newborn session with Brittany and her family as her husband would be home for the arrival of their new son. My candid approach and relaxed style was perfect for this family of five. I favored plenty of classic black and white photos as you'll see below. We were fortunate to have a warm winter day so I opted to even go out on to the country road outside their house for a few fun outdoor photos. Enjoy!

Bowlin Family | Secret Location

The Bowlin Family. I love these people! Laura's always got something interesting up her sleeve -- and it was no different this time. We ventured to places considered, perhaps, a bit unorthodox for family photos. But, we made it work. As usual, the girls decided that the session was going to be quite serious.... with very few giggles unless Mindy decided to dance. So I danced. And here are the results from this unique family photo session!
